A la Carte Home Design offers refined interior design services for remodels and new construction. We specialize in custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, bars, offices, or wherever your vision takes us. How does the design process work?
Our process typically includes initial consultation, site measurement, design presentation with 3D renderings, finish selections, and material procurement & delivery.

 

Do you offer in-home consultations? Is there a fee?
Yes, we offer in-home consultations to better understand your space, style, and needs. Your initial consultation is complimentary. When you're ready to move forward, a design retainer is required, dependent on the scope and complexity of your project.

 

Do you supply materials?
We work with premium vendors to deliver high quality & durable products including cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, flooring, tile, hardware, and more. 

Can I see samples of materials before making selections?
Our new showroom features a beautiful selection of cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, hardware, and plumbing samples, as well as organizational solution displays to see how they’ll function for you. We're here to guide you through your options and encourage you to take samples home, so you can make confident, well-informed decisions in your own space.

 

How much will my project cost?
Project costs can vary widely depending on scope, complexity, and materials. We provide a custom quote tailored to your needs and work with a variety of price points, offering options to keep your project on budget.

 

How do I choose a contractor?
We work with a trusted network of licensed contractors that we can recommend, or we can collaborate with your preferred contractor. 

 

How long does a typical project take?
Timelines can vary depending on the scope of the project. The design process and material selections may also differ from project to project. Product lead times are influenced by the chosen materials and are subject to change by the manufacturer. We're happy to help you select materials that align with your schedule and provide a detailed timeline and keep you informed throughout the entire process.

 

How do I get started with my kitchen or bath remodel?
During our initial consultation, we’ll ask if you have any inspiration images that you want to share with us. Those can be from Pinterest, design magazines, books, etc. As they say, a picture really can be worth a thousand words.

Open communication regarding your budget is important. Consider both your home's value, your timeframe for living in the house, and what you and your family are comfortable spending. Any of our budget questions aim to find the best options for your project -- without judgment! Being transparent about financial plans reduces your stress during the remodel and helps us be efficient with recommendations.
